Riga, Tallinn, back to Berlin.

Riga was happening, Tallinn was beautiful and Berlin was pretty darn cool. I have posted a few pictures of Riga and Tallinn below. I will be putting some up of Berlin soon. We are going to Brno, Czech Republic to relax for a few days before school starts and we will see if our plans take us elsewhere. The adventure is well underway and we are all having a good time. Being on the road so much makes us look forward to when we get to have a place to call our own. Prague will be a welcome change, and even the school that comes with it.

Moving North.

Warsaw was perhaps colder than both Frankfurt and Prague, surprise surprise. We are now in Riga, Latvia. It is February 1. We are staying here for one more day and then we bus off to Tallinn, Estonia. From there we may trek back through Lithuania and work our way back towards Prague. We have met a fellow from Norway, his name is Haaken. He works on an oil platform in between Norway and the UK for two weeks at a time then gets four weeks off. He is taking a little vacation in Riga and we have been traveling around together. We probably will be taking a trip to visit him during this semester and see his summer home in southern Norway. I will post pictures from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania before long. Life is good and the going is great. Just very cold.

Frankfurt, Germany

We arrived in Frankfurt on the 23rd of January, 2008. It was gloomy and initially we definitely were lost. Fortunately, we quickly made a friend who is a travel planner for old folks. She had hostel she was going to and we followed. From there life was easy breezy. We got checked in and took a little nap before starting our exploring ways. Our hostel, it appeared was very much in the Red Light District of the town. Frankfurt was an expensive place but a real treat none the less. We then went on to Prague to drop our belongings off with Petr (a friend who studied at KSU last year) and his family. We stayed with them for a few days before heading north to Warsaw, Poland where I currently am. Tonight we are on our way to Riga, Latvia and then on to Estonia or Lithuania. I will post pictures when I figure out how...
